This was our second year performing at the Montreux Jazz festival. As some of you may remember from last year, our guitars (both Al’s and mine) were lost by the airline. This year they did even better,.....they only lost one instrument, Al's bass (not much better). It was Al's new Roscoe 6 string and needless to say, he was a basket case. Eventually they did get it to him by midnight that night, but he's still twitching over the experience.

We played four performances this year, July 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th. I got to play with BB King again this year. He was very complimentary and we are hoping to be a part of the BB King Blues tour next year. Unfortunately we didn’t get a lot of pictures this year, but here are a few to check out.

Our first performance was at Claude Nobs beautiful private chalet in the Swiss Alps where we met and got to hang out with Bette Midler.

Our first night in Montreux we played at the new Montreux Club that opened for the first time that year. The acoustics were good but, Thierry was not happy with the drum set. The second night we played, they gave him a better kit to use.

We played a really good set that night. We were so eager to play that when we got up on the stage, we just kind of exploded (although I kind of look like I'm passing out here). Check out Al's Red Sox shirt. Baseball, bass guitar.... that's gotta mean something.

I believe everyone deserves a leg up in life

I have no idea what I’m doing here. Sometimes I wonder why I dont fall over more often.

This was the last night we played was definitely our best performance there. Gib said he never saw us play better. Notice the better drum set they gave Thierry.
